Kristan has worked as a pastor in the Cincinnati area for almost two decades. She currently enjoys working with adults and youth, whether teaching or leading growth groups. The first half of her career was spent pastoring teens and young adults. She still enjoys supporting young people through counseling and coaching.
Kristan is expanding her professional and pastoral skill sets as a current graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has a desire to further help people with emotional, mental, and relational health. Kristan works with teens and adults on issues related to mood, anxiety, relationship conflict, identity formation, and more. Kristan focuses on creating a strong connection with her clients in order to give the right support to make changes. A favorite counseling modality is “attachment theory:” the science behind how we develop close relationships. She enjoys working with parents and romantic partners to understand the conflict that pops up in relationships and how to build a secure attachment.
Kristan also spends time in a school setting, leading community-building activities for teachers and students. (She’s learned that if you want respect from junior high students, your shoe game really matters!) Kristan has authored multiple books and enjoys speaking and sharing with audiences.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially if it involves a surf boat on a beautiful lake!
